At The Stage Studio, we aim to make joining our dance and theatre family simple, welcoming and stress-free.
Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions we receive from parents, teens and adults.

🔹 About Our Classes
1. What types of classes do you offer?
We offer Contemporary, Street Dance and Musical Theatre classes for ages 2+, as well as Adult Street Dance and Adult Zumba. All classes are taught by experienced, industry-trained teachers.
2. Do I need experience to join a class?
No experience is needed. We welcome complete beginners through to advanced dancers.
3. Can I try a class before joining?
Yes. We offer paid trial classes for all age groups so you can experience the class before committing. Trials can be booked via our Book a Class page.
4. What ages do your classes cover?
We teach children and adults from age 2 onwards:

Pre-Schoolers: 2–4 years

Kids: 5–11 years

Teens: 12–17 years

Adults: 18+
🔹 Uniform, Clothing & What to Bring
5. What should students wear to class?
Wear comfortable clothing such as leggings, joggers, shorts or a t-shirt.
Footwear options include trainers, jazz shoes, ballet shoes or foot thongs — they just need to be clean to help keep our studio space tidy for everyone.
6. Do you require uniforms?
Yes. Students are required to wear a TSS t-shirt as their uniform.
We keep our uniform simple and affordable to avoid overwhelming families with unnecessary items.
🔹 Booking, Payments & Policies
7. How do I book a class?
Visit the Book a Class page and either:

Book a trial class, or

Choose a class directly from the timetable and sign up for our monthly subscription.
8. How do payments work?

Trial classes: Book and pay online.

Once joined: Fees are taken via monthly subscription, depending on the class.
We don’t have a pricing page — details are emailed once you join.
9. What is your cancellation or missed class policy?
Missed classes are non-refundable.
If you wish to leave, we require one full calendar month’s notice.

10. Where are your classes held?
We run classes across three venues in Reigate:

Pre-Schoolers / Toddlers: St Philip’s Hall, Nutley Lane

Kids & Teens: Very Yoga, Focus House

Adults: Reigate Parish School
11. Is there parking available?
Yes.

Morrisons: Free for 2 hours, just across the road

Nutley Lane: Limited on-street spaces

Reigate Parish School: Free onsite parking for adult classes
🔹 Performances, Privates & Extras
12. Do you offer performance opportunities?
Yes! Students can take part in our annual show, seasonal workshops, and performances at local events.
13. Do you offer private lessons?
Yes. We offer private lessons in singing, dancing and acting.
These can take place:

On Zoom

At your home or location of choice

At our studio (subject to availability)
We also offer wedding dance lessons for couples or small groups.
🔹 Parent Information
14. Do parents stay in the room during class?
To help students focus, parents do not stay in the studio during class.
We host watching sessions during the year so families can see progress.

15. How can I contact you?
You can contact us via email or social media.
We try to respond quickly, but as we teach throughout the day, replies may not be immediate.
If your message is urgent, please write “URGENT” in the subject line so we can respond promptly.
